Seismic Risk Evaluation for Structures:

Many lenders require the specific service of assessing the Probable Maximum Loss (PML) for site buildings. This considers the type of structure at the site, the site's geology and its proximity to faults. Using published guidelines and judgement, these studies predict a relative likelihood of seismic damage. The PML is expressed in terms of a percentage of the total replacement cost of the site buildings.

Probable Maximum Loss (PML) Report/ Seismic Hazard Assessment

Probable Maximum Loss is based on analysis using an event on site having a magnitude that is not expected to occur more than once every 475 years.
